The Miracles of Jesus- LAZARUS COME FORTH!
This powerful exploration of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead challenges us to examine what we do in the middle of our miracle. We often find it easy to believe God's word at the beginning when we first receive a promise, and we celebrate at the end when we see the manifestation. But what happens in that difficult space between the promise and the fulfillment? The message confronts a crucial question: whose report will we believe when the doctor's diagnosis contradicts God's word, when circumstances seem to be getting worse instead of better, and when it appears our miracle is delayed or even dead? The story of Lazarus presents us with a profound truth: Jesus spoke the end from the beginning, declaring that the sickness was not unto death even before arriving at the tomb. His word ran ahead of Him, waiting in that tomb for the body to arrive. This teaches us that God's word is already present in our situation, already working, already active, even when we cannot see evidence of it. The symbolism of the stone blocking the tomb represents the obstacles in our own lives: doubt, unbelief, negative reports, or fear. Significantly, Jesus did not move the stone Himself; He commanded others to move it. This reveals a vital principle: we must actively participate in our miracle by removing the barriers of unbelief and speaking God's word over our situations. When we call those things that are not as though they were, we are sending our agreement ahead of us, ensuring that when we arrive at our destination, faith will already be there waiting.
