The Miracles of Jesus- The Pool of Bethesda

This powerful message takes us to the Pool of Bethesda, where we encounter a profound truth about healing and faith. For 38 years, a paralyzed man waited by a pool, hoping for a miracle that seemed always just out of reach. Like many of us today, he had grown accustomed to his affliction, ready with explanations for why healing hadn't come. But Jesus asked him a direct question that cuts through all our excuses: 'Do you want to be made well?' This story reveals two paths to healing in our lives. The first is through the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, where God sovereignly seeks us out without our faith being a factor. The second, and far more common path, is through faith built on hearing and believing God's Word. We learn that while it's wonderful when God moves miraculously without our participation, we shouldn't spend years waiting on porch number five when faith can deliver healing any time we dare to believe. The man at the pool received his miracle through a gift of the Spirit, but what about the hundreds of others there that day? They too could have approached Jesus in faith and received their healing. The challenge for us is clear: stop rehearsing all the reasons why we can't be healed, and start declaring by faith that we will be made whole.
